All Souls Day
All Souls Day
Today we raise our spirits, our voices, and our love to our faithfully departed. Our loved ones, our ancestors, and those who have moved past this Earthly realm and into the ever after. On this day, we pray for the dead, honor their lives, and seek comfort in the memories of our time together.
Today is All Souls’ Day.
November 2nd is known as All Souls’ Day. All Souls’ Day is observed worldwide by a large variety of religious belief systems through prayers, ringing of bells, and food. In addition to being a day to honor and remember the faithfully departed, it is also a day that is used to offer some respite in suffering to those who are believed to be in purgatory. Candles are lit not only to honor the dead, but to offer light and redemption to those who would otherwise be stuck in darkness.
So, it is on this day that I offer my prayers of rest, redemption, and love to those who have departed. We offer our love, light, and prayers to you, that you might rest well on the other side and for those who are lost, we pray that angels lead you to the light of the ever after and ease your hearts. Know that we light candles in your honor and keep your names on our lips so that you might live on in our hearts and the hearts of your ancestors for all time.
A joyous and pure All Souls’ Day to you all. Blessings – Emilie Moe
